Hello Supporters of the Lismore Region Refugee Settlement (LRRS)

L.R.R.S. is a committee of Sanctuary Northern Rivers inc, and is working towards resettling refugee families here under a Federal government community sponsorship scheme. More info on that scheme here https://www.refugeesponsorship.org.au/, and more details on our website soon.

We excited to share the news that our family is arriving next month.

We are inviting you to a meeting on Saturday 22^nd, 11.30 at the Sherwood Hotel Molesworth Street, Lismore so we can share this fantastic news.

Our raffle is a fabulous Crystal Castle experience valued at $750. The prize comprises 5 tickets to Crystal Castle and $500 worth of crystals. Get your tickets before the draw on the 22^nd.

We are selling a BBQ lunch with Rotary at the Commercial Hotel, 74 Walker Street, Casino this Sunday 16^th. The beer garden is a nice relaxing venue to listen to the live music and enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch. The Channon Beaumont Trio will be playing the Blues.

We have been busy attending the Markets in our area. We are selling raffle tickets and books and sharing the news of this new way that the Australian Government is allowing Humanitarian Refugees to settle into our regions. The positive responses from citizens has been overwhelming. We do however need a market roster. We need at least 2 people present at the stall especially for set up and pull down. Please offer to help out. If you have books that you would like to donate bring them along on the 22^nd.

We are overjoyed that the toe tapping jazz band Acid Bleed will play for us at the Lismore City Bowling Club, Molesworth Street on 11^th June, doors open at 1.30pm. Come along for a fantastic afternoon of music and bring all your friends.
